Underwater fine art
Wild Mermaids
Real women. Real water. Myth reborn.
A vivid underwater art book, proof of concept project, and limited print series by multiple Emmy winning cinematographer Kenneth Corben.
Proof of Concept
Real water test imagery shows the project already works as a visual language, not just as an idea.
Collector Edition
The destination is a premium hardcover art book supported by a cinematic Kickstarter launch.
Limited Prints
Selected images are intended for signed print releases and future gallery style presentation.
Behind the scenes
The myth has already touched water.
Wild Mermaids began as a real water proof of concept: makeup, breath hold performance, underwater camera work, and a visual test of whether mythology could feel tactile, cinematic, and emotionally real.
Project vision
Not fantasy staged on land. Transformation photographed in real water.
Wild Mermaids reimagines the mermaid not as costume fantasy, but as a living fine art image born from light, water, movement, and human transformation.
The project is being developed toward a collector quality hardcover art book, a limited print offering, and future exhibition possibilities. Concept renders on this page are visualizations of the intended presentation. Final details may vary.
Selected stills
A practical mythology built frame by frame.
These images document the real production language of Wild Mermaids: underwater camera operation, mermaid performance, airbrushed scale makeup, and the working energy of a proof of concept shoot.
Book and gallery direction
Designed for collectors, not casual scrolling.
Wild Mermaids is being developed as a tactile collector project: a premium hardcover art book, signed editions, concept driven presentation, and limited gallery print potential.
The art book
A premium hardcover concept for the Wild Mermaids collector edition. Final cover, trim, materials, and production details may vary.
Gallery prints
A visualization of the proposed gallery print presentation for selected Wild Mermaids images. Final size, framing, and exhibition details may vary.
Creator / model interest
Calling future Wild Mermaids.
Wild Mermaids will expand through selected underwater talent, creators, ocean storytellers, performers, freedivers, influencers, and mermaid inspired models.
A mystery Wild Mermaid influencer/model will be announced before launch. Until then, the ocean keeps her secret.
Participation does not guarantee selection. Final talent, images, styling, locations, campaign materials, rewards, and book or print inclusion are selected by the artist and production team based on creative fit, water capability, safety, availability, representation goals, release requirements, and production needs.

The artist
Kenneth Corben
Kenneth Corben is a multiple Emmy winning underwater cinematographer whose work spans major ocean, wildlife, expedition, and immersive productions. Wild Mermaids channels that real water experience into a fine art mythology project built for book, print, and exhibition.
What makes this project different is not the myth alone, but the methods learned from Hollywood and wildlife productions: real women, real water, real camera craft, and a visual language developed through decades of experience.
